Susan Barcus
The Owner/Director of Avanté Gymnastics and Dance. She is certified to teach by Dance Masters of America, Ohio Dance Masters, Dance Educators of America, and International Dance Entrepreneurs Association. Since the age of three, she has danced and has taught many regional, state, and national champions. Her top priorities include instruction, music, and costumes that are age-appropriate and techniques being taught in a positive, nurturing environment.
Eva Cannon
Holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from The Ohio State University. She has participated in many dance and gymnastics workshops throughout the country. Her connection to our young students is evident every day, as she can motivate each child to reach their potential in their individual endeavors.
Aly Bowman
A homegrown product of Avante, she started as a student here at the age of 18 months and began teaching full-time in 2016. She is the daughter of Eva Cannon and was a competitive dancer here at Avante. She is a graduate of the Dance Masters of America Teacher Training School and is certified to teach Ballet, Tap, Jazz, & Modern. Aly is a member of USAG and is certified to teach/coach gymnastics at every age and ability level. She is a graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Athletic Training.
Krista Bowman

Kristie Bush
She began her life at Avante when she was a child. She was on both the competitive dance and gymnastics teams. Kristie graduated from Denison University and has returned to coach for us. Following in her footsteps, her 3 daughters are also on both competitive teams.
Jennifer Wygle
She started her time at Avante as a student on our competitive gymnastics team. She has not only returned to teach for us, but her children are now on our gymnastics team. She teaches all levels of gymnastics at Avante. Jennifer is the mother of 6 children and works as a Nurse for Forth Fork Local Schools and in the labor and delivery department at Mount Carmel St. Ann's. She graduated from Mount Carmel College with a Degree in Nursing.
Megan BeVier
She was a dancer and gymnastics student of ours when she was a child. She has now returned to Avante and her two children and has been coaching pre-school gymnastics since 2017. Her daughter is on our competitive dance and gymnastics teams, and her son is also a gymnastics student. Megan is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelors's Degree in Architecture and has worked at the university for 15 years.
Brooke Lee
Brooke started at Avante when she was 5 years old. She took gymnastics class and was on the competitive dance team for many years. Brooke has a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from The Ohio State University and has spent the past year teaching remote classes for Heath City Schools.
